NotebookLM started as a Google experiment in late 2023 and has evolved into one of the most genuinely useful AI research tools available. The Killer Feature
The Audio Overview feature is genuinely remarkable. It generates a podcast-style conversation between two AI hosts discussing your documents — complete with accurate citations, natural disagreements, and synthesised insights. Upload a 300-page research paper and get a 15-minute podcast summarising its contributions in plain language. We have used this for onboarding new team members to complex technical topics and the time saving is measurable.
